EQ is as important as the IQ

Both EQ and IQ are very different from each other yet both are connected to each other.

EQ is also called Emotional Quotation or Emotional Intelligence and It’s the measurement of one’s ability to identify, access, and control the emotions of oneself or of others or in simple words, It’s the ability to think from your heart. This term was coined in 1964

IQ is also called Intelligence Quititon and it’s the measurement of one’s intellect or in other words, it’s the ability to think from the brain. This term was coined in 1912

It's best to take both (your heart and your brain) together in order to make the best decisions but sometimes the hearts and brain don’t agree on one thing and it rises conflicts.

EQ basically provides us personal and social competence which leads to:

  1. Self-awareness
  2. Relationship Management
  3. Self-Management
  4. Social Awareness

Many researches have been conducted on the importance of IQ and EQ, It is proved that People with high EQ are more successful, satisfied, and earn more money than people having high IQ. because EQ supports them in understanding themselves as well as in understanding others… as a result, they make better relationships and prove to be better employees too.

Scientists say that: When it comes to career success, people with average IQ outperform people with high IQs 70% of the time. You can develop your EQ just like any other skill that you have.

According to Daniel Goleman (Psychologist from Harvard University) says that EQ is the single most important factor to predict life success and it has zero correlation with IQ and is the strongest drive for leadership and personal excellence. Performance and Pay are closely attached to EQ in all fields around the world.

Both IQ and EQ are often represented by scores in many standardized tests.
