I was assigned another indoor activity by the Foster Family i.e: “Paper Tower Project”, It was a fun activity to do as we enjoyed a lot while making it.

When I was assigned this activity, I told my father regarding my project and asked for his permission to gather a few known people from our neighborhood, After getting the permission, I gathered my team (members includes: 1. Urooj, 2. Laiba, 3. Hadia, 4. Hibba, 5. Umar, 6. My Father, 7. Myself) and told them what we are going to do, I showed them a picture of the paper tower that the foster team had provided us. Then, I shared my plan and assigned responsibilities to each of our team members i.e.:

1. Laiba: will shoot the video

2. Urooj: Will make the pipes out of the newspaper.

3. Hadia: Will help urooj in making pipes as fast as possible

4. Hibba: Will be responsible for the proper diameter and shape of the tower pipes

5. Umar: Will provide help to the person who needs help during working + He will also help us by providing things (e.g. Raw Material) when needed.

6. My Father: Will help in the cutting of the newspaper and also in assembling the pieces of the tower together.

7. Myself: I will work as a leader and assemble the tower + will provide help and ideas wherever needed + I provided the sketch of the tower, different ideas, and raw material to my team, and later I also provided the idea for improvement.

We took the risk and set our goal a bit higher “to make a big high tower (more than 5 feet in length), We switched on the timer in the cellphone (as we started). After an initial struggle, our team got synchronized and we tried to work as fast as possible, there were great coordination and cooperation among us.

After we finished the tower it was not able to stand on its own and we had to hold it in place so that it won’t fall, as it was too tall and the newspaper strength (in the legs of the tower) was not enough to hold it in place properly. We thought about many ideas to improve the newspaper strength, I shared my idea too (i.e. We can increase the support in the legs by putting more newspapers in a wide pipe-like structure/shape) and my team liked my idea so I tried my best to work on it as fast as I can and it actually worked but it took us 5 extra min. to do so.

We completed our paper tower in a Total: 15 min. and it is 6.2 feet in height. :) Then it was time for a photoshoot and we enjoyed what we had accomplished…

It was a great day and I’m really thankful to my Team for helping me in completing this project successfully, I’m really proud of my Team.
